Direct answers about how we work

What does RemSoft.Dev do?

RemSoft.Dev is a remote software engineering company that has solved business problems with software since 2017, with 200+ projects delivered. We build web, desktop, mobile and AI systems in the stack each problem needs, across seven services: bespoke software engineering, AI solutions and agents, private and local AI, AI engineering enablement, forward-deployed engineering, cloud, DevOps and on-premise infrastructure, and legacy modernization. The company is based in Vienna, Austria, with engineering primarily in Ukraine.

How do you make sure AI-written code can be trusted?

Every plan and every code change passes three checks. AI agents write and test the code. Models from other vendors - Codex, Gemini, a second Claude or a local model - review the plan before coding and the changes after, through our ConnectOtherAIs review gate. Then a senior engineer approves the result. Across 1,087 review rounds, reviewers from different vendors overlapped on only 5-9% of their findings, so each one catches problems the others miss. You receive normal, tested, reviewable code.

Which technologies do you work with?

We choose the technology for the problem. .NET is where our experience runs deepest and appears in most of our published case studies. Our published work also uses Rust, Python, TypeScript, Angular, React, Svelte and Node.js, on Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or your own servers. For AI we are model-agnostic: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or open-weight models running locally through Ollama, vLLM or ONNX.

What is forward-deployed engineering, and do you work on-site?

Forward-deployed engineering means our senior engineers work inside your operations, in your tools, channels and meetings. They learn how the work is really done and build software against those real workflows, together with your team. They work remotely by default and come on-site for up to one month when the client covers travel and accommodation, typically for kickoff, discovery or a critical launch. It is billed by the hour, or as a project priced in man-days. More about forward-deployed engineering.

Can you run AI on our own servers, without sending data to the cloud?

Yes. We host open-weight models on your servers or workstations through Ollama, vLLM or ONNX, build search over your internal documents, and size the hardware, including NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. Your documents, code and customer data never go to an external AI provider. We run our own development this way: in our tests, a tool bridge we built made local AI agents up to 10x more effective. More about private and local AI.

How do we start a project, and what does AI discovery include?

With a short call about the problem, followed by a written proposal with scope, timeline and price. Work starts only after you approve it. For AI projects, the first step is usually AI discovery: a short, fixed-scope, paid engagement that checks which uses of AI pay off, whether they work with your data, whether to build or buy, what it will cost to run, and which data and compliance rules apply. It ends with a written recommendation and an estimate.

Who owns the code and intellectual property?

You do. All code, designs and documentation produced for your project are transferred to you in full under the contract. The same applies to code written with the help of AI agents.

How does remote collaboration work with RemSoft.Dev?

We work with an overlap in your time zone, daily written updates, a shared task board and weekly demo calls, so you always see what is being built and why. A project manager is your single point of contact, and time tracking is open for you to inspect. When being in the room matters, engineers come on-site for up to one month, with travel and accommodation covered by the client.
