Concierge Platform

Concierges in apartment buildings and hotels juggle visitors, deliveries, bookings and emergencies all day. This application puts it in one place: concierges add visitors, post announcements to apartment owners about deliveries, book attendance at the pool or parking, and notify residents about violations or emergencies - improving communication and security for residents and guests. RemSoft.Dev's senior .NET engineering and architecture work centred on migrating the product from legacy .NET 4 to .NET 6, with ASP.NET Core Web APIs, a Blazor front end, EF Core on MySQL and AWS hosting, with SonarQube keeping quality measurable throughout the migration.

Key Challenges

Client: Property-management software company

Role: Senior .NET developer / architect

Stack: ASP.NET Core, Blazor, EF Core, MySQL, AWS

Key work: .NET 4 → .NET 6 migration

The project faced several key challenges:

  • Migrating a live product: Residents and concierges kept using the system while its framework moved two generations forward.
  • Many small workflows: Visitors, deliveries, bookings, alerts - each simple, all interlocking; the data model had to stay coherent through the migration.
  • Quality during change: SonarQube gates ensured the migration improved the codebase rather than merely porting it.

Results

  • .NET 4 → .NET 6 migration
  • Blazor front end
  • Visitor, delivery, booking and alert workflows
  • AWS-hosted with EF Core + MySQL

4 → 6

two .NET generations forward, product live throughout.
