Healthcare Workflow System

Healthcare providers run on coordination between medical and administrative departments, and that coordination usually lives in disconnected tools. For an enterprise healthcare management system, RemSoft.Dev's CTO acted as architect, designing and supporting modules on a C# back end with React and Angular front ends over SQL Server. The solutions streamline patient management workflows, improve internal clinical operations and support effective coordination between departments. Responsibilities spanned defining the system architecture, implementing business logic, optimising SQL queries, designing scalable APIs and ensuring seamless integration between modules - with regular code reviews and a focus on clean architecture and maintainability, so that the tools supporting core healthcare operations stay robust as they grow.

Key Challenges

Client: Healthcare management systems provider

Role: Architect + full-stack engineering

Stack: C#, React, Angular, SQL Server

Domain: Patient management, workflow automation

The project faced several key challenges:

  • Cross-department workflows: Medical and administrative processes intersect constantly; the module design had to mirror how departments actually hand work to each other.
  • Integration between modules: Seamless data flow across modules was the requirement that shaped the API design.
  • Performance on clinical data: Optimised SQL and scalable APIs so that patient-management screens stay fast as records accumulate.

Results

  • Modular architecture for healthcare operations
  • Patient-management workflow automation
  • Optimised SQL Server data layer
  • Scalable, integrated APIs

Architecture

defined and supported across all modules.

Workflows

patient management and clinical operations automated.

Integration

seamless data flow between departments' modules.
